The Airbus A320 (registration EI-GAM) climbed to 36,000 ft until the crew declared an emergency (squawk 7700).

The crew contacted ATC about an medical emergency on board. French controllers vectored the flight to Bordeaux, where the aircraft landed at 23:40 CEST.

After the passenger was removed from the A320 by the medical team, the flight departed Bordeaux at 01:10 CEST to Dublin.
