Air France flight AF480 departed Paris CDG Airport at 15:18 CET for a 12 hours and 40 minutes flight to Lima.

The flight operated by a Boeing 777-300ER (registration F-GSQR) climbed to 31,000 ft and flew for about one hour before the crew declared an emergency (squawk 7700) at 16:34 CET..

The pilots contacted ATC about an issue on board, the aircraft turned around.

The flight is diverting to Brest.

The airline is planning a 2-hour stopover.

The Boeing 777-300ER just landed on runway 25L.
