Swiss flight #LX1578 departed Zurich this Monday, August 5 2024 at 12:40 CEST to Vienna, Austria.

The aircraft (registration HB-JCK) climbed to 35,000 ft over the border before the crew declared an emergency (squawk 7700).

The crew contacted ATC to land as soon as possible due to a possible emergency on board.

The Bombardier CS300 turned left and headed to Munich, Germany where it landed 1 hour and 10 minutes after departure.

After landing on runway 26L, the plane has been parked at a remote area of the airport.

The flight #LX1578 has been cancelled.
