A passenger died on an Air France flight from Paris to Boston on Tuesday despite life-saving efforts by a doctor on the plane.

The Air France flight AF334 departed from Paris CDG at 15:06 CET onTuesday, January 14 2025.

The A350-900 (registration F-HUVB) landed at Boston Logan International Airport at 16:51 EST where emergency services awaited.

Air France confirms that a customer on flight AF334 from Paris-Charles de Gaulle to Boston on 14 January 2025 was taken ill during the flight. Despite the assistance of a doctor on board, the customer couldn’t be rescued. Air France reminds that its crew members are regularly trained to handle these kinds of situations.

There were few details available about the person’s death; police described the death as unattended but didn’t share more information, including the identity of the person who died, which won’t be released until loved ones are notified. Detectives were looking into what happened.

On Saturday, December 14, 2024, at approximately 10:22 PM, officers from the Boston Police Harbor Patrol Unit arrested two individuals 42-year-old and 32-year-old men.

The arrests were made on Long Island, part of the Boston Harbor Islands, following a hazardous drone operation near Logan Airport’s airspace. Both suspects face charges of trespassing, with additional fines or charges potentially forthcoming.

The incident began earlier that evening, at 4:30 PM, when a Boston Police Officer specializing in real-time crime surveillance detected an Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) operating dangerously close to Logan International Airport. Leveraging advanced UAS monitoring technology, the Officer identified the drone’s location, altitude, flight history, and the operators’ position on Long Island.

Recognizing the serious risks posed by the drone’s proximity to Logan’s airspace, additional resources were mobilized. The Boston Police Department coordinated with Homeland Security, the Massachusetts State Police, the Joint Terrorism Task Force, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), and Logan Airport Air Traffic Control to address the situation.

Members of the Boston Police Harbor Patrol Unit were dispatched to Long Island and located three individuals inside the decommissioned Long Island Health Campus. Upon attempting to make contact, the suspects fled on foot. Two of the three individuals were apprehended and identified as Duffy and Folcik. During the investigation, a drone was discovered inside a backpack carried by Duffy.

The two suspects were transported to District A-1 for booking. A continued search for the third suspect, believed to have fled the island in a small vessel, was conducted by officers and the Massachusetts State Police.

The Boston Police Department reminds recreational drone operators of the importance of adhering to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) safety guidelines. Operators are prohibited from flying drones over people or vehicles and must be aware of airspace restrictions.

An American Airlines Boeing 777-200ER (registration N772AN) clipped the wing tip of a Frontier Airlines Airbus A321-2200 (registration N714FR) at Terminal E at Logan Airport in Boston.

No injuries were reported which occurred at a Terminal E gate while passengers were on board during the incident Monday, November 25 2024.

The American plane was a Boeing 777 that was being towed when it hit the Frontier jet, an Airbus A321.

While pulling into its gate at Boston, American Airlines flight 109, with service from London Heathrow to BOS, made contact with Frontier aircraft from Dallas.

There were no reported injuries, and customers deplaned the aircraft shortly after. The aircraft has been removed from service for inspection by maintenance team.

After this incident, a tug vehicle towing an empty JetBlue A321-200 (registration N948JB) struck the rear of a Cape Air plane at a slow rate of Speed.

“The JetBlue aircraft will undergo a thorough inspection” a spokesperson for JetBlue said.

The Cape Air flight had 3 passengers and 2 crew members on it at the time of the collision, according to a spokesperson for Cape Air.

No one on the Cape Air flight reported any injuries according to a spokesperson for the company, though a Massport official did confirm to Boston 25 News that both pilots of the flight were taken to an area hospital as a precaution.

No JetBlue crewmembers were injured as a result of this incident, according to JetBlue.

This marks the second similar incident at Logan, Monday. Earlier in the day there was a collision involving two planes.

British Airways flight #BA213 from Heathrow landed normally on runway 4R but instead of taking taxiway M the crew taxied straight onto taxiway still under construction.

The aircraft involved in the incident is Airbus A380-800 (registration G-XLED) powered by four RR engines.

The aircraft was towed backwards and continued to the gate without further incident.

But after 7 hours into the flight, while on approach to EWR, The Boeing 747 (registration D-ABYL) was put on hold at 14,000 ft.

The aircraft then climbed back to 15,000 ft and was vectored to Boston due to a radar outage at Newark. It landed at 17:45 at BOS.

The super jumbo departed almost 2 hours later to reach Newark after a one-hour flight.

Outage apparently had to do with the radar feed. The FAA actually moved the EWR area of the New York TRACON to the Philadelphia TRACON at the end of July.

Delta Air Lines flight #DL112 departed Boston Sunday, August 4 2024 at 18:05 EDT on runway 22L to Rome, Italy.

The Airbus A330-200 (registration N831NW) suffered a lighting strike shortly after departure.

The aircraft climbed to 16,000 ft then requested a returned to BOS Airport. It turned around and landed back on the same runway only 1h30 later.

The flight was diverted back to Boston Logan International Airport “out of an abundance of caution” after the crew reported a lighting strike after departure.
