The flight is expected to land at 1:15 pm then to resume from IAD at 5:15 pm.

The delay is estimated 5 hours and 10 minutes due to an operational reason.

A Ilyushin Il-96-300 departed Vnukovo Airport in Moscow on Thursday, October 3 2024 and flew to the North as the European airspace is closed to Russian aircraft.

The plane had to get around Finland before crossing the Atlantic and landing at New York JFK 9 hours and 50 minutes later to pick up UN personnel.

On the same day, the aircraft flew to Washington for another diplomatic personnel rotation.

Two days later, on Saturday, October 5 2024, the Il-96 departed Washington to New York JFK.

The aircraft is now en-route to Russia, over Murmansk oblast at the time we’re writing this article.

The Boeing 737-900ER (registration N39463) performed a go around on runway 36R at Austin.

The pilot squawked 7700 (general emergency) due issue with the flaps. The aircraft circled at 3,000 ft for a while for check list before attempting a second landing.

Saturday, April 20 2024, United flight #UA260 departed Washington at 18:16 EDT to Madrid for 7-hour flight.

The flight was operated by a Boeing 767-400ER (registration N59053) which is 23 years old.

The aircraft climbed to 10,000 ft and started to circle as pilots contacted ATC and requested a return to IAD following a mechanical issue.

The aircraft, configured in 34 United Polaris business class and 197 United Economy seats, returned to Washington International Airport only 46 minutes after the departure.

Passengers had to switch to a spare aircraft (registration N68061). The flight arrived 5 hours and 33 minutes late at Madrid on Sunday, April 21 2024.

United, especially its Boeing 767’s fleet, is regularly facing technical issue.
